Ok, that lasted all of 10 days.
I had a grandmother that wrote in her diary every day, and Couldn't do it for more than 10 days... That's pretty sad.

Now that I can log back in, maybe I'll post more.

Rain coming.

I have a terrible headache. I've had it for about three days. I'm dizzy, blurry eyed, having trouble with light and sound... Bright lights (like the computer monitor here) hurt my inner BRAIN and i can't concentrate with so many sounds. i have to really see the person i'm listening too or i don't hear their words. really hurts when the kids get going.

swimming lessons went well. They canceled one of the Tue/Thur classes so we may just do Mon/Wed classes. Messes up Grammie's school, but some things can't be helped.
Met a lady there that was from Hawaii. She has two daughters and is expecting a third child.

Saturday we went sewing machine shopping. I went with the Janome 8080 from Sears and we used Rod's Sears gift card, but i'm going to test it hard and see if we need to exchange it. I could then take the $100 and spend it at the Sew/Vac shop and get the Janome Deco with a quilting package. Would realy be a better machine i think. more on that after i get it. it's not even here yet. they had to order one in.

oh my head hurts. can't think. may go to bed soon. maybe.

Rod took the boys on the Currituck Ferry.
They were it.
On thier trip across, the boat stoped, turned around and hooked a duck decoy that had floated into their pattern. Rod said it was pretty cool.

Well, you can see how often i'm updating this... not going that well.
Haven't taken many pictures to speak of either. Rod took some on his ride with the kids on the Currituck Ferry, so maybe one of those will be worth putting up.

Busy day today. having trouble waking up. everyday. tired all the time. grumpy now too.

kids did well in school today.
Lunch went well. i had a chicken breast on salad. did the chicken in Scott's sauce, so it was HOT. good though.
Quilt class was at 3 today. went ok, except i forgot the paperwork for the pillow part of our quillow. we're doing rail fence quillows. not too bad, although we'll see after we get the pillows on. Danielle's is looking very nice. She has my 501 book and my Rhodale's aplique book. Meghan and Katie need to put borders on.

dinner was spaghetti squash and french fries. oh, real nutrious. but it was good, and both boys seemed to at least tolerate it.

Andrew's fever keeps coming back. he's just got a sniffle, but it drags him down something feirce.

i want my sewing machine soon. i need it for class. need to try and set up Cindy's... maybe it will be good enough. -sigh- i really want one of my own though. that way if i break it, i don't have to worry about it. she has batting for me too.

This is a touch up of Andrew riding the train in Logan Ohio.
I used a sharpen and a spot oriented black and white gizmo.

I used the new Picas 2 from Google. The updates are pretty awesome!
I can send the best pictures through that, using a BlogBot, so i don't have to FTP anything up anymore. what a pain.

Now if our internet would just keep working.
we're loosing so many packets. anywhere from 30% - 100% loss at any given moment.

That and it took Rod 5 hours to get off the bridge today. it snowed. what a pain. he sat for about 3 hours at the mouth of the bridge. said everything was a sheet of ice. after work let out at 5, there were over 100 wrecks in about 10 minutes. geesh.
although, i'd rather live here with the wrecks than in Ohio where it's this cold all the time.

started my diet and excersize yesterday. couldn't be super strict due to the refrigerator being empty, but i'm doing better than i was. now i only need to loose about 100 pounds.
i'll keep you posted.

Ok, so our interent doesn't suck so bad... it's was HACKED! we had some numbskull on there downloading stuff. hope it wasn't anything important. we had the firewall up for most of it.

-sigh-

it's rained most of today. yesterday it was 73º. today the wind has been gusting to 35mph and it's cold now. bleck.

Rod is running up to OH for the tractor tomorrow. that'll be a long trip.

Got the house mostly clean. feel good about that. there is so much more to do though.

well, i got a little more sleep last night. the dog was buggin about something, and Andrew came in, but i feel a little more rested today.

Alex was on beading quilts, o no realy useful, but not bad. good information to know.

i've got several books up on Half. i had some that really didn't fit after i got them, so maybe i can get rid of them and make some money for my sewing machine. Rod now doesn't want to take any of our funds to pay for it, and keeps hassleing me to get a cheeper on. yucko.

papers are printed off for school, took over an hour yesterday.

cleaning today: toys, laundry, kitchen... Kathy's coming over tonight. Dick is in FL for a home show.

need a shower, so that's it this am.

Ok. i got busy yesteday so i forgot to add anything here.

We went to grammie's school, and i loafed around until i vacuumed the living room. i'm a great time killer. especially when i don't want to clean. the living room looks better though. i'm worried about the vacuume though, it's not doing so great. it used to pick up everything effortlessly, but now it takes a couple of passes. oh well, put that on our list of "things to break soon".

We had lunch at home, then ran to Kathleen's. that went well. it was 70º out, so the boys played outside while Kathleen and i quilted. she apliqued and i handstitched. how nice. i've decided from that that i don't like not having batting in my hand pieces. there isn't any resistance on the needle and thread. it's too thin. may, or may not finish the piece because of it.

this morning we struggled with schooling again. Andrew is so good at dragging his feet. i threatened 6 ways to sunday and he just doesn't care. wonder where he gets it from. -not-

they finally finished, and i finished printing out their zoo papers. wasted the rest of both cartridges on it. will have to specify only black next time. that color is cheeper anyway.

Rod went into work today. somebody's last day in the office, they went to Olive Garden for a two hour lunch. it's been forever since i've been there... yumm.

we went to the Y and swam today. went really well. it was 73º when we left... oh i love this kind of winter. anyway, neither kids can keep their head above water, but neither are too scared of it either. i made them swim a bunch and it wore them out big time. we cleaned up and toured the facility, but i think if i'm going to use the excersize equipment, i need a guided tour. i wouldn't know how to run half of what they have up there. mroe time.

they fell asleep on the ride home. i hope they are worn out enough to sleep again tonight, because i need the rest.

Jean is getting ready to quilt her big quilt soon. i'm jealous. i wish i had my new sewing machine. I don't know when Rod will let me get one either. he's leaving for OH Saturday morning and won't be back until Monday or something. he's getting the tractor from Dad. That will be nice. then we can mow all the onions.

i'm wanting to do another BQ quilt. i couldn put paper peiced star parts, or stars in the big squares. i need to finish Craig's though. her baby is due next week sometime.

the boys are going to bed now. Rod and i have both taken turns throwing the ball for the dog. it was his christmas present: a glow in the dark pitching ball. it works pretty well now that the nights are so dark.

dinner went well. ravioli and sauce, biscuits and salad. we're/i'm working on what i will need to cut out, and what i need to change for our diet.

we didn't get to swimming today. andrew ate too slowly at lunchtime. maybe he will learn.

tomorrow is Grammie's school and Kathleen's. i need to remember to take my camera.

i'm going to research sewing machines again tonight. maybe i can decide on something. Craig's baby is due in just a few weeks. -sigh- what a time for mine to break.

Pasta Maker with a few attachments.
Hand crank. no need for a motor.

i have the kitchen aid to make pasta, one of these would be nice to go with it make homemade noodles.

A set of metal bowls for making coleslaw and meatloaf and such, larger, with about 3 nesting.

Ok. well school went slow. Jacob whined most of the morning, and was sent to his room so i could do anything with Andrew.

we ate our last two santa cookies. yumm. crunchy, but yumm just the same.

i still need to run to the post office to mail that book.

Andrew ate so slowly that we coudn't go swimming today. i need to figure out what to do with him. maybe letting him suffer the concequences will help.

Kathleen's tomorrow after Grammie's school... they were mad not to be able to go swimming tomorrow.

i got their homeschool book shelves cleaned out and our dresser cleaned.

i've updated the book list again. there are a few i will be getting rid of, i think. that new folded japanese technique kind of doesn't appeal. i need to do regular aplique first, then adapt, but that seems like a time waster.

Well, our internet stinks.
it keeps going up and down, pinging and timing out.
Rod's looked into Sprint, and we may decide to do that. Who knows. i'll just wait.

Kids are playing with their hotwheels. everywhere.

several of the new quilt books i got in are not that great. i got a Japanese folded patchwork book in. all that is is aplique everything! i need to learn regular aplique before i use it for patchwork. not for me. will re-sell.
one i got in last week i bought for $9 and just sold it yesterday for $15. that's pretty cool. now if i can just keep that up. Rod at least would be happy.

off to homeschool this am. still need to investigate math programs. may try the one Andrea didn't like, even... and i found handwriting classes for them. need to still work on their reading. i'm worried that i'll get too behind until we start the 1st grade books. i have a teaching manual for that... but i've decided i need fool-proof carriculums. evidently, most of them will be...

now i have hotwheels on the desk.

Dog has been on a walk.
I'm reading through South Beach (well, not RIGHT now). And enouraged. I may be able to do this.

I've been looking up sewing machines too. Pfaff's , Vikings and Berninas are very expensive. Even used.

I spent this morning looking up cirriculum for the boys schooling. Math and Handwriting. they need to spell better than i do.

We went to quilt class today, but no one showed up. We'll be working on creating the pillow for our Quilllows next class. that should be the 24th of January. not sure what time yet though. either 2:30 or 3:30.
